We take an uncommon approach to physical therapy to achieve uncommon results.

Too often the traditional system fails us; 2-3 sessions a week, occasionally with the same provider, often with less than 1:1 care.

Insurance runs the show.

At Impetus Movement & Rehab, we blend live, in-person skilled physical therapy with digital, holistic management that takes the entire client in mind — your problems, your goals, your schedule, your LIFE.

We address the root causes of your issues and blend rehabilitation with performance coaching, so you can seamlessly progress from pain to gains!

Who we serve:

  • Athletes - current, past, or just those who love to keep MOVING throughout life!

  • Weight lifters (powerlifting, bodybuilding, Crossfit, Strongman — or just gym-lovers!)

  • Pregnant, post-partum, or future mamas who want to feel strong and capable in their body (& for their babies!)

  • Those Type-A, proactive folks who want to take advantage of a movement expert to decrease injury risk and reach their physical goals.

Our approach to Physical Therapy:

  • 1:1 care - You will have our undivided attention throughout your entire session.

  • A movement-centered approach with manual therapy and purposeful modalities as indicated.

  • Progressive overload - where many traditional models fall short, we take you from injury to BEYOND prior level of function.

  • Adaptive scheduling — rather than 2x/week for 6-12 weeks, we schedule in-person sessions as YOU need them. This will change throughout our time together!

  • Holistic and ongoing support - 1-2 hours a week and a cookie-cutter exercise handout won’t cut it! We take into account your individual lifestyle and recovery factors, resources, and goals to construct a Prescriptive Exercise Program (PEP) that keeps you accountable between in-person sessions.

  • Keep you doing what you love! - We believe there are ways to modify in nearly any scenario. Thus, we leverage Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Training principles in conjunction with skilled Physical Therapy to ensure the smoothest transition possible from rehab to performance.

“Meghan not only educated me on what food and exercise can do for me for physical transformation, but has helped me change my entire mindset and relationship with myself as a person.  Without her constant support I would not be where I am today. Thank you, Meghan, for stepping into my mess and not shying away from my struggles.”

Carlaine

“She is extremely knowledgeable in the realm of nutrition and weight training and is always eager to share the latest thing she has learned with anyone who is curious. Ask her any question involving physiology, anatomy, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and watch her eyes light up as information oozes out of her head. To say these things are of interest to her would be an understatement. Meghan has a white hot passion for bettering her self and the lives of others through weight training and diet. She uses her keen understanding of the human body and it’s adaptations to training to help people like me reach their goals. ”

“My entrance into working with Meghan was fairly simple: a physical assessment, thorough discussion surrounding my goals and history, and then I started a program. That program however, ended up being life-changing. I am almost back to my previous levels of strength with LESS days and time spent training. I feel more empowered than ever to take my wellness and injury prevention into my own hands. This has trickled over into my practice as a clinician and as a coach. I have been able to return to Olympic Weightlifting and high-level gymnastics skills which were all a goal of mine. I have been able to engage with my kids without fear! I have felt so supported and encouraged along the way, and I don’t even feel like Meghan is aware of the impact she has had on my life.”

“6 months later I looked like a different person. We still talk occasionally, and I steal workout ideas from her Instagram all the time. An incredible human being with a genuine soul. She wants to help people. We both come from athletic background, and I feel like she would agree that dedication, consistency, and discipline are the keys to success. She’s a tough cookie with a soft heart that anyone would be lucky to work with!”

Anna

“I loved learning what she had to share because I honestly felt that she cared about my results. She is very upfront and honest while keeping a positive attitude which is important. A lot of the things I had to change I wasn’t necessarily happy about but I knew if I trusted her and the process I would get where I wanted to go. Committing to a different lifestyle and being consistent is super hard sometimes but it makes it a lot easier with the tools and advice she provides. I have recommended her to friends and I plan to have her train me again in the future because as she is always learning and growing I plan to as well.”

“Meghan has been a source of knowledge, assistance and inspiration to me in addressing my diet and exercise regime.  She has always made herself available to answer questions, demonstrate gym routines, and provide encouragement every time I've asked.  After just a couple of weeks of following her nutrition and exercise plans, I started firming up, felt stronger and slept better than I had in quite some time.  She is professional, genuine and a real pleasure to work with.”

Bethany

“She leads by example as she lives out personal values of health and fitness. She was open to sharing and listening to new studies and different approaches to health. In weekly check ins, she was very encouraging and celebrated the little victories with me. She was willing to meet me where I was and went above and beyond to help me reach my goals. By working with her, I gained a deeper understanding of how my body patterns and how it reacts to different foods and external environments.  Meghan’s approach to coaching is very patient, intentional, and diligent. She is an amazing human and wonderful role model of fitness and health.”

Diane

“I’m 33 and a mom of 2 young ones. I’m 6 weeks in and have definitely noticed increased stability in my movements, increased strength and muscle definition. There’s a lot of unique workouts that are super challenging but fun. Meghan has been so helpful with improving my form and movement in areas that I have struggled for 6+ years. She is so awesome, helpful and knowledgeable and I look forward to continuing to work with her. My overall goal is just increased strength and hope to be able to do pull-ups like her one day!”

A mere seven and a half months ago I was immobilized by a sling following my rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Meghan got me back to my passion of lifting by carefully crafting a physical therapy plan that would take me to the limits of what I could do safely.  She knew my goals, and as an athlete and bodybuilder herself, she supported me the best way possible. I attribute my incredible recovery and growth to her and I am so very grateful for having her in my life. I will never be the same again. She has made me a better athlete and taught me skills that will forever be a part of my fitness journey.
